BEFORE YOU GO

Age and ID
Thai law bans selling alcohol to anyone under 20 and has the seller ask for official photo ID when the age is in doubt. On top of that each bar sets its own entry rule: Tichuca admits 20 and over with an original passport, Sky Bar admits children from 7 with an adult, Sky Beach welcomes all ages.
“++” on the menu
Seven of the eight menus add 10% service charge, then 7% VAT, to the printed price (often written “++”): 450 on the menu is about 530 paid. Sky Beach’s prices include both.
Alcohol ban days
None of the eight says on its own pages whether it serves alcohol on Buddhist holy days or election days. Check the ban-day calendar and ask the bar.
