Thai Government Lottery: results, draw dates and how a foreigner claims a prize
The Government Lottery Office (GLO) draws the six-digit ticket twice a month, normally on the 1st and the 16th. The latest result and a number checker come first, then the next draws and what a foreign winner needs to claim.
Latest result:

If you win as a foreigner
A foreign winner can claim a prize. The GLO’s own FAQ says so. The practical catch is where.
Krungthai and GSB branches take Thai nationals only
Krungthai and Government Savings Bank (GSB) say their lottery service is for Thai nationals aged 20 or over (Krungthai also asks for a Thai ID card). Check BAAC with the branch before you go. Per the GLO, banks do not pay the first prize and pay only the latest draw. A foreign winner should take the ticket to the GLO office.
What the GLO says
Asked whether a foreign winner can claim, the GLO answers yes: show a passport, or another document issued by an authority, together with the winning ticket.
Claiming at the GLO office, step by step
- Keep the original ticket: the claim is made with the ticket itself. A torn or badly damaged ticket is checked first (see below).
- Sign your name and surname, or stamp them, on the back of every winning ticket before you hand it in.
- Go to the Prize Payment Division on the ground floor (floor G) of the GLO office in Nonthaburi, with your passport.
- Staff check the ticket and your document. You pay stamp duty (it is taken out of the prize), and the prize is paid by Krungthai cheque or bank transfer.
What to bring
- The original winning ticket, signed or stamped on the back
- Your passport (or another government-issued ID)
- You must be 20 or older (unless you became an adult by marriage)
GLO office
- Address
- 359 Nonthaburi Road, Tha Sai, Mueang Nonthaburi, Nonthaburi 11000 (Prize Payment Division, floor G)
- Open
- Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 15:00, no lunch break. Closed on public holidays.
- Phone
- 0 2528 9682 or 0 2528 9732
The GLO has an online queue booking (one booking per person per day, up to 200 tickets), but on 27 October 2026 it announced that the booking is paused; check the GLO site before you go. A damaged ticket goes to a separate desk on floor 3 (07:30 to 14:30).
How you are paid
- The prize is paid net of stamp duty: 1 baht for every 200 baht (0.5%).
- The GLO pays by a Krungthai cheque from its own branch, or by transfer to a bank account. A transfer to another bank is capped at 2,000,000 baht per transaction.
- Over 200 tickets: you leave them with the GLO and the net prize is paid within 3 working days of checking.
- No Thai bank account? Say so at the counter and ask which way fits. The GLO’s pages do not describe that case.
By size of prize
- Any prize, as a foreigner
- GLO office in Nonthaburi: passport and the original ticket. Krungthai and GSB branches take Thai nationals only.
- First prize (6,000,000 baht)
- Only at the GLO office. Banks do not pay the first prize. Stamp duty on it is 30,000 baht.
- More than 200 tickets
- Leave them with the GLO; net payment within 3 working days after checking.
- A transfer above 2,000,000 baht
- The cap per transfer to another bank is 2,000,000 baht; ask the GLO how a larger prize is paid.
Damaged, lost and old tickets
- You can claim for 2 years from the draw date. After that the prize goes to the state.
- A torn or damaged ticket can still be paid if the barcode proves it is the winning ticket. Bring it to the GLO office for checking; if it cannot be proved, it is returned to you.
- A lost ticket can be frozen only before the draw. After the draw there is no freezing it.
Draw dates
Draws are on the 1st and the 16th. A draw can move; the GLO announces each change, and January’s second draw was on the 17th, not the 16th, in 2025 and 2026 (press reports give Teachers’ Day, 16 January, as the reason).

Prizes for an 80-baht ticket
The GLO prints the prize table for a set of 1,000,000 tickets. The amount below is what one winning ticket is paid. A ticket can win more than one prize, and the amounts add up.
| Prize | Baht per ticket | Stamp duty | You receive |
|---|---|---|---|
| First prize All six digits; 1 | 6,000,000 | 30,000 | 5,970,000 |
| Next to the first prize One above or one below the first prize number; 2 | 100,000 | 500 | 99,500 |
| Second prize All six digits; 5 | 200,000 | 1,000 | 199,000 |
| Third prize All six digits; 10 | 80,000 | 400 | 79,600 |
| Fourth prize All six digits; 50 | 40,000 | 200 | 39,800 |
| Fifth prize All six digits; 100 | 20,000 | 100 | 19,900 |
| Front 3 digits First three digits; 2 | 4,000 | 20 | 3,980 |
| Last 3 digits Last three digits; 2 | 4,000 | 20 | 3,980 |
| Last 2 digits Last two digits; 1 | 2,000 | 10 | 1,990 |
Stamp duty is 1 baht for every 200 baht of the prize. Banks that pay prizes may also keep a fee of up to 1%; at the GLO office the GLO’s pages state no such fee.
A full set holds 14,168 winning tickets worth 48,000,000 baht. If a set does not sell out, the GLO says each prize is reduced in proportion.
Buying a ticket
- The price printed on the ticket is 80 baht. Selling above the printed price is an offence for the seller: a fine of up to 10,000 baht (Government Lottery Act, section 39).
- Selling to someone under 20 is also an offence for the seller (section 39/2), and selling inside a school (section 39/1).
- Digital tickets are sold by small agents on the Pao Tang app (Krungthai’s app). A search summary of Krungthai’s claim steps mentions entering the address on a Thai ID card, which was not confirmed on the page itself; assume the app is meant for people with Thai ID.
Charged more than 80 baht?
You can complain to the GLO call centre on 0 2528 9999 (press 0), by email to Callcenter@glo.or.th, or on the government complaints site www.1111.go.th.
What to stay away from
- Underground lottery (“huay tai din”) and websites selling “Thai lottery” numbers from abroad are not the government lottery. The GLO’s prizes attach only to its own printed tickets and the tickets sold through the Pao Tang app.
- A winning ticket is paid to whoever holds it, so keep it safe and signed.
Questions
- Can a foreigner claim a Thai government lottery prize?
- Yes. The GLO’s FAQ says a foreign winner can claim by showing a passport, or another document issued by an authority, with the winning ticket. Claim at the GLO office in Nonthaburi: Krungthai and GSB bank branches take Thai nationals only.
- How much is a Thai lottery ticket?
- The printed price is 80 baht. A seller who charges more commits an offence under section 39 of the Government Lottery Act, with a fine of up to 10,000 baht.
- When is the next Thai lottery draw?
- Draws are normally on the 1st and the 16th of the month, moved when the GLO announces a change. The table on this page lists every draw the GLO has published or announced, and marks the dates that are only the usual ones.
- How long do I have to claim a prize?
- Two years from the draw date. After that the prize goes to the state.
- How much tax is taken from a prize?
- The GLO takes stamp duty of 1 baht for every 200 baht of the prize (0.5%), so a 100,000-baht prize pays 99,500 baht. A bank branch that pays a prize may keep a fee of up to 1% on top.
- Does the number checker send my ticket number anywhere?
- No. The check runs in your browser against the results stored on this page, and nothing you type is sent to this site or to anyone else.
