What you see
A pink cylindrical tower of 17 floors, about 80 m tall (two or more guides agree on both figures), with a red-and-green dragon coiled around it.
Visitors go up inside, by elevator or stairs according to the day’s reviews, and many walk down through the dragon’s body. The passage is dim and plain.
It is a working temple, so a small gift is normal and refusing is fine.

Weekdays: the top may be locked
Several guides say you may not be able to reach the top on a weekday.
Upper floors can be locked on weekdays: In Thailand (2021), Cosmic Scanner (May 2026) and a third, undated guide (Forever Vacation).
Go on a Saturday or Sunday. If you must go on a weekday, go in the morning and be ready to see only the lower floors.
Getting there
Car
Grab or taxi from central Bangkok, about 40 km. Reviewers also come by MRT to Lak Song and then a taxi.
Bus
BMTA bus 84 runs from BTS Bang Wa towards Sam Phran, and blogs (2023–2025) say it drops you 4–5 km from the temple. You still need a taxi.
Return
Writers in 2023 and 2024 warn that a Grab back from the temple may be hard to find; ask your driver to wait or book a round trip.
What to wear
Cover shoulders and knees as at any Thai temple, and expect to take your shoes off.
The passage down through the dragon is a dark tunnel with no exit halfway; skip it if you dislike enclosed spaces.
Nearby
Tours often pair the temple with Maeklong Railway Market and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market; both have their own pages on the day-trips hub.
