Why people go

  • Jim Thompson was an American businessman who helped revive the Thai silk industry. He disappeared from Malaysia’s Cameron Highlands on 26 March 1967, and no definitive answer to what happened has emerged.
  • He built his Bangkok home by reassembling six traditional Thai dwellings, most of them brought by river from Ayutthaya. The operator’s own pages do not tell this story, so it comes from Wikipedia.
